Just one Con really quick: When you turn the thing on, it uses beeps to indicate the status of the device (booting, pairing, connected, switching to TF card, etc) These sounds are a little louder than the music ends up being, so if you turn your car on and have the volume up really high, you kind of hate the transmitter for a few seconds while it blatantly reminds you of it's existence. That being said, I've had this transmitter for 4 months, and I've had no issues with this product, pairing problems have been my device acting up (grr) and I have a very tight frequency that I can broadcast on, so I get waves of interference when I go into certain areas when I'm traveling. The controls are a little un-intuitive in my opinion, and I recommend putting the instruction manual in your glove box or center console of whatever works for you. I can't say much on it's ability to charge a phone with the USB port, I just don't think it puts out enough juice. TLDR; if you hate loud pairing sounds when you turn your car on, maybe find a different transmitter. The product will last fairly well (four months for me with no issues) but it sits in a rather out of the way place, so it hasn't been hit or jostled yet. Quality is also nominal. If you want something to charge your phone at the same time, I'd recommend a different method. Car accessories in my experience (this one included) don't multitask very well.

Update! Carrie with customer service was wonderful! She responded promptly and got a replacement transmitter out to me immediately then followed up making sure I received it and that it worked to my satisfaction. Additional note: they even offered to send the newest version as an upgrade but I liked the one I ordered more. The product works wonderfully! My little old 96 Toyota stock car stereo has never sounded so great! I would definitely recommend this product. I'm hoping I just received a dud and this is not a common problem. When I initially opened the box everything looked promising. I was happy with the look, the size and I was anxious to try it out. Only problem is the up and down buttons don't work. I am unable to change the station to anything other than the channel it is pre set to. (Of course my car stereo stops one decimal off) All of the other buttons and expected functions seem to work or at least they would if I were able to tune it. Disappointing. But hopefully they will fix this. I really don't want a different product but I'm not willing to buy another and risk the same outcome.

Pros: Easy to use, inexpensive, convenient. Cons: Can malfunction. I would highly recommend this Bluetooth Adapter to anyone that doesn’t already have Bluetooth installed into their car! I love listening to music. Every time I get into my car I have to turn my music on before I can start driving. But it came to the point where having to plug my phone and deal with annoying cords became a drag. Not only did that become a drag, but having to buy a new auxiliary cord because of it breaking every couple of months did as well. Instead of buying a new auxiliary cord, I bought this Bluetooth adapter. I love it so much that will never spend money on an auxiliary cord again! USE Using this Bluetooth adapter is very simple and easy. I have used past Bluetooth adapters in friend's cars that make you download an app to use them. With this one you don’t need to download anything, you just turn your phone on Bluetooth mode, turn your radio station to the station that is shown on the Bluetooth adapter, select the Bluetooth connect "G7" on your phone, and you can start playing music! PRICE This product is extremely cheap for how long it has lasted. Auxiliary cords are not cheap for how long they last, they can range from $10-$25 and last only a couple of mouths. Where to as this Bluetooth adapter cost $15 and has lasted me 7 months and shows no signs of breaking anytime soon. PHONE CALLS Not only can you listen to music, you can also answer phone calls with this adapter. Since it is illegal to talk on the phone in Oregon. This hands-free answering mode is not only helpful, but safe when you get a phone call. DURABLITY Like I said before this I have had this adapter for 7 months and it shows no signs of breaking. I have had times where is disconnects from my phone. But other than that, I haven't had any other malfunctions with it. CONVENIENCE A very convenient feature from this Bluetooth adapter is after connecting the first time it automatically connects to your phone every time you get in your car with your Bluetooth on. Compared to other Bluetooth devices you have to manually connect every time you disconnect. I find this very convenient when you are on the go. Another convenient feature is not having to deal with annoying cords to listen to music. But when you do need to deal with annoying cords it is not as annoying because it is only when you need charge your phone with the USB plug-in installed into the adapter.

This product has far exceeded my expectations! I have a 2003 Corvette Z06 that will remain stock and this device allows for me to stream music via Bluetooth to the factory FM radio with no modifications required. I have read some folks were disappointed with the sound quality but my experience has been great. I think the key you have to remember is that the sound quality will be the same as the sound quality you receive on any strong, FM station. You are not going to have CD (or better) quality sound going through the FM receiver. The bonus for my application is that it fits inside my center console therefore it is hidden. I have not used this device to make/receive phone calls since I don't plan on doing that while driving my Vette so I can't comment on that functionality.

Great product! If there was an Amazon product Hall-of-Fame for gadget electronic categorical items sold on it, this would have to be in the top 10 or 15! I have mine plugged in my lighter socket which is hidden away from view in the console box under my armrest. This is nice because with it out of sight, it gives my 2006 sedan that feeling of factory built in Bluetooth. Granted, it plays through the FM, but at 87.9 frequency, I hear the exact same audio quality as if the car had factory media Bluetooth capabilities like my other vehicles. When riding around, you honestly forget that it's FM radio. You do have to nearly max out the Bluetooth volume on your phone and max out the volume on the transmitter to get powerful sound through your car speakers. But this is okay, because your Bluetooth volume is separate from all other volumes on your phone. To avoid distortion, I find that setting my phone to 14 out of 15 volume-wise (no equalizer or bass boost settings in app) and maxing out the transmitter works best for me. I also found that for sound clarity, I operate at 87.9 MHz and stay a bit away from the band edge of 87.7 to avoid noise and static. My pros: -Automatic power on when your car starts. No need to press a power button each time...especially for me since I have mine hidden away for a "built-in" feel. -Being digital, the signal doesn't fade off the locked frequency ever....set it and forget it. Your set frequency is remembered even after long periods of not being powered. -USB port is very helpful for charging a phone or playing USB stick of music. -Sound quality is as good as the most powerful, closest station in your town....provided you are using the frequency at the extreme low end or high end of your FM "dial". -Supports line in devices too via headphone jack. Cons: -Jarring, loud, startup tone through your car speakers made by the device when if first powers up on car starting. I typically cut my stereo off before I cut my car off anyways, so when I start up, my stereo is off before I hear that jarring tone...however sometimes I do forget and it takes me by surprise. -Inability to select certain folders and specific directories for music files on your SD card...using the transmitter's SD feature. It only plays in a preset order and you have to use the tuning buttons to tediously go through each track. While having the SD card feature on this device is a nice plus, I rarely use it or the USB stick capability. -Connection to my phone is quick however, I still prefer to use my car's built in hands-free phone Bluetooth for calls because of steering wheel controls and number display on the car's GUI screen. Sometimes my phone grabs both Bluetooth connections fine, other times I have to manually go in select one or the other. This is the fault of my phone, not the device. But this is just me...it may suit you fine to use this device for both your calls and music and not have my specific problem. -I wish this device had the ability to show song/audio stream info on your radio screen like FM stations are able to do nowadays. If they ever make a newer version that can do this, I'd be willing to upgrade to it. But overall, the best FM transmitter in my opinion for the money!

I have a 2004 C5 Corvette and needed a transmitter that would fit. The angle on this is a perfect fit for either the power plug in the console or the power plug by the ashtray. The ashtray door can not be closed with this plugged in as you can probably figure out, but the console lid can be closed while this is plugged in. I made a phone call and tested the mic with the lid open as well as closed. The person was able to hear me in both scenarios, although as you can imagine when the lid was closed it was muffled....but I could still be heard. I tested the music streaming from my phone to the device and it worked well with no issues. Even with the top down I was able to hear my music. I paid 15 bucks for this - I am more than happy with it so far. I have been using it for 2 weeks so I am unable to give a long term overview of this product. I attached some pictures to show the fitment

I retired over 2 years from the DC suburbs to a small rural community. Boy, I miss my radio stations. I'm getting sick of my CD's, and satellite radio is unaffordable. SO, when I saw this gadget that would play my vast music library from my iPhone through my car speakers, I thought that would be the ticket! It is, but now I need to figure out my iPhone. It starts with the same song each time, so I've had to ask Siri to play individual songs. Sometimes she can't figure out what I'm saying (like Sogno by Andrea Bocelli). If I can't think of a song, I'll ask her to play a certain artist, but haven't figured out yet how to get her to keep playing that artist, so it's been a pain doing one song at a time. The device, however, is working great! I'm happy with it, one song at a time. I've only used it twice now, so I'm sure in time I'll get it worked out.

Clear sound and does what it has to. What got me by surprise and wasn't mentioned in the comments or booklets, was the car battery voltage (coming out of the cigarette lighter) briefly displaying on the unit shortly after switching the ignition on. After that switches to the frequency. Easy to use, easy to connect. It's a steal for the price i got it. I highly recommend. Chances are your car is a little bit old, lacking native aux input or Bluetooth, and you've been looking for a way to play music from your phone while on the road. Well you can end your search here, because this is the answer. Setup was easy: finding an empty FM station on your car radio, setting this thing's frequency, and pairing your phone only take a couple minutes. Once that's done, the experience is seamless. I simply get in the car and start playing music on my phone, and it automatically pairs and starts patching it through to the car stereo, then automatically disconnects and my phone unpairs when I turn the car off. Audio quality is really good. Not crystal clear like a CD player or a real aux line in, but 100% as clear as any real FM radio station you might tune to. I did not experience any issues with static or losing signal at any point

So if you're looking for one of these FM transmitters, get THIS one (or at least this same sort of model, in whatever varied name brand you may come across)!
